DORSET DOWN

Dorset Downs are rather a rare breed in Australia, there being but 6 registered studs in the flock book.

They are more popular in England, being found mainly in the county of Devon on the south coast.

They are noted for early maturing prime lambs, and adapting to a wide range of varying conditions.

Wool is short and dense, giving resistance to bad weather, with 25-29 microns average - spinning quality.
